Invisalign®

Invisalign® aligners are an excellent treatment for correcting crowded or crooked teeth.

They offer the effectiveness of traditional bracket and wire methods without the restrictions, discomfort and embarrassment of metal brackets.

Invisalign® has several advantages compared to the traditional fixed brace system. Invisalign® uses iTero® digital scanning technology to help design a customised treatment plan which you can view before you begin your treatment.

Invisalign® aligners are made from thin, flexible, BPA-free plastic, and are virtually invisible. Since there are no brackets or wires you won’t experience any mouth abrasions.

You can remove the aligners before meals, so there are no restrictions on what you can eat, and you can brush and floss your teeth as usual.

As an added benefit, the aligners act as a mouthguard, preventing you from grinding your teeth.

You will be fitted with 2 aligners, one for the lower and one for your upper arch. You wear the aligners for 20-22 hours a day for about 2 weeks. The process continues until your teeth alignment meets the goal of your treatment plan. Your dentist will monitor your progress every 4-6 weeks.

Once your treatment is complete, you will be fitted with a retainer to prevent your teeth from reverting to their original positions.
